Community engagement

mcch supports people with a learning disability or autism within day services. These services are in the Bexley area and include:

  • Carlton Centre in Sidcup
  • Ken Boyce Centre in Footscray

Our services work in partnership to promote choice and flexibility of service. Our Bexley Lions Football Team have players from across the three centres. They compete in the South London Special League and regularly play in tournaments.

Carlton Centre

Community engagement activities include:

  • Jewelllery making
  • Art workshops at the What If Art Gallery
  • Music Appreciation Club at Bird College
  • Sensory room at Carlton
  • Drama classes
  • Photography Club
  • Computer skills with UK Online
  • Visits to the gym and library and other places in the community

Ken Boyce Centre

Community engagement activities include:

  • Sports and leisure, including swimming and golf
  • Transition into employment group
  • Access to hydrotherapy pool and aromatherapy massage sessions
  • Access to community facilities such as ten-pin bowling and the ice-rink
  • We also co-ordinate after school clubs, Saturday and summer playschemes for children aged 5-18 years old - visit our children's services page
